Skipton Now: Craven Music Match
Don’t miss an exciting evening of music, showcasing talented musicians from right here in Craven.
Joining us for 2024 will be anna, mellow jazz and folk inspired guitarist and saxophonist, Hannah McMillan, young acoustic musician with elements of folk and pop, Connor Walmsley (aka Enigmo), multi-genre Loop Artist and beatboxer, Kathryn Longbottom, empowering alternative rock-chick chic, and Tommy Zen, evocative underground hip-hop/rap artist and MC.
We’re also lucky to be featuring two previous “CMM” artists, Rosie Blofeld with her “dreamily poetic” folk narratives, and Evie Clark’s powerful musical theatre inspired sound.
Craven Music Match is part of Skipton’s HAZ cultural programme. The project connects musicians from the area to build a supportive, diverse and open network spanning different genres, which can exchange knowledge and skills and be part of the growing live music scene in Skipton and the Craven area.

Craven Music Match Artists
anna
Anna’s always been surrounded by music: playing the saxophone and clarinet from an early age to more recently learning the guitar. She discovered her voice – smoky, rich and at its best when shared – at a songwriting workshop a few years ago; the fragile beauty of her songs belies a deep strength and exuberance.
Hannah McMillan
Hannah McMillan is an 18 year old singer-songwriter and musician based in North Yorkshire/Manchester. Her lyrics are drawn from personal experiences, dreams which she accompanies with piano playing.
Connor Walmsley (Enigmo)
Connor Walmsley (aka Enigmo) is a multi-genre Loop Artist and beatboxer who quickly made a name for himself on the open mic circuit. His live music centres around a loop rig and his guitar, allowing him to create brand new songs on the spot.
Kathryn Longbottom
Having developed her songs with an emotionally innovative approach, Kathryn’s music is delivered through a combination of edgy melancholic vocals, gritty lyrics and rock chick roots.
Tommy Zen
Underground hip hop emcee and award winning beatmaker. Combines a dark and rough, sometimes deep style, often keeping the music catchy with complex multi-syllable patterned lyrics.
Rosie Blofeld
Back with her latest stripped-down contemporary folk songs, Rosie’s lyrics convey open-heartedness and dreamily poetic narratives
Evie Clark
Evie’s vocal style is inspired by musical theatre, but draws from the worlds of pop and rock. Her style is characterised by versatility, switching from emotional ballads to a powerful rock performance with ease.

Skipton High Street Heritage Action Zone
Funded by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government and administered by Historic England, Skipton’s High Street Heritage Action Zone seeks to find new uses for empty historic buildings in and around the High Street. It aims to attract younger people to the town centre through the creation of public spaces for cultural activities, and the development of youth markets and festivals.
