YFOS - In Conversation with Marina Warner

This event has passed

Early bird £8 - then £12 from 1st October

Marina Warner is returning to our YFOS stage for the second time this year after her workshop A Living Almanac on 10th November. Join us in a conversation with Marina as we chat about her non-fiction publications, fiction novels, children’s books, short story collections as well as articles, essays and other writings which covers a broad range of topics including art, culture, literature, film, Shakespeare, and the Arabian Nights.

Artist Bio: Marina Warner is a writer of fiction, criticism and history that focuses on art, myths, symbols and fairy tales in order to translate them into contemporary significance – re-vision them. The stories that Marina draws upon come from the past but speak to the present as her work explores the interactions of imagination and reality in art and the effects that have on societies. Marina’s imaginative re-visioning expands on ethical and political issues and facts to create a dialogue between them that is often dangerously dismissed, overlooked and misunderstood.
