Skipton Music Presents: Brodsky Quartet
Third Time Lucky…
Since forming in 1972, the Brodsky Quartet have performed over 3000 concerts on the major stages of the world and released more than 70 recordings.
After two attempts to bring this internationally renowned quartet to Skipton in 2020 and 2021, both thwarted by the pandemic, Skipton Music are thrilled to be finally welcoming them as part of their season for 2023-2024.
Programme to include:
Karen Tanaka At the Grave of Beethoven
Henning Kraggerud Preghiera
Dmitri Shostakovich String Quartet No.4
Ludwig van Beethoven String Quartet No.15

About Skipton Music
Bringing world-class music to the Yorkshire Dales since 1947, Skipton Music is a not-for-profit charity run by a small group of local volunteers. Each year between September and March they host six public concerts at Skipton Town Hall together with a free afternoon concert for local primary schools. In 2022-2023 they celebrated their 75th anniversary with a special themed concert series entitled Hidden Treasures: Celebrating Women Composers Across the Ages.
