Skipton Music Presents: Borealis Saxophone Quartet
Skipton Music welcomes one of the UK’s leading saxophone quartets for a lively and varied evening’s entertainment…
Praised for their “superb technique and style” (Planet Hugill) and “great skill” (Classical Source), the Borealis Saxophone Quartet has performed at venues all around the UK, including the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and London’s Royal Festival Hall. They have also made numerous television and radio appearances, including a BBC Proms broadcast for Radio 3, and a feature on ‘Good Morning Belgrade’ whilst on tour in Serbia.
In 2019 the Quartet was selected as ‘BBC Introducing Artists’ and performed live on BBC Radio 3’s ‘In Tune’. We are delighted to welcome them to Skipton with a programme that will include music by Bach, Gershwin, Bernstein and Jennifer Higdon.
“…a cast-iron rule is to play every piece as if you really, really love it. The Borealis Saxophone Quartet played ball impeccably.” (The Times)
