Skipton Community Orchestra

Skipton Community Orchestra was set up in 2012 to provide an opportunity for musicians of all ages and abilities to make music together. It has gone from strength to strength and now has more than 30 members. Conducted by Jess Mahler, the orchestra plays a wide range of music, from arrangements of popular classical repertoire to music from stage and screen. Performances are always free as the orchestra’s ethos is that live music should be accessible to all. It rehearses twice a month at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton.

The Skipton Choir

Under their Musical Director, David Weale, The Skipton Choir seeks to provide a fun, enthusiastic environment in which anyone can come and learn to sing, regardless of experience or ability. No auditions required, just a passion for singing and a desire to learn, as you will learn to improve your technique and develop as part of the choir. Rehearsals are energetic and fun, with the joy of singing at their core, and there is plenty of opportunity to perform at events in and around Skipton.
