Heritage Tour of Skipton Town Hall
As part of this year’s Heritage Open Days festival, join us at Skipton Town Hall to discover more about the amazing heritage and culture behind our historic building.
Built in 1863, Skipton Town Hall has a wealth of history and stories. During this event, members of the curatorial team from Craven Museum, which is situated inside Skipton Town Hall, will discuss the history of the building, including a chance to see historic photographs from the museum collection which show views of the building as it once was.
This is also an opportunity to hear about the ground-breaking redevelopment project which transformed Skipton Town Hall into a cultural hub for the local community. As part of the tour, visitors will get to see parts of the building that are not normally accessible, including the Mouseman-fitted Council chamber.
Tours are running at 11am and 2pm.
