Learn the basics of bookbinding with Linette of Anachronalia.
Make your own multi-section case binding, with a Shakespearean twist. You’ll find out the mystery of grain direction and how to make your own notebook with a minimum of specialist tools, with plenty of book history along the way. The class will take you through all the steps of sewing and making a deckle-edged text block with decorative endpapers, as well as creating and attaching a cover decorated with one of 6 book and writing themed quotes from Shakespeare’s First Folio.
Suitable for beginners, all tools and materials provided.
Duration:
10:30AM - 5:00PM with a lunch break
Important Information:
Recommended for people aged 14+ (anyone under the ager of 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
