Sashiko patch making and clothes customizing workshop
Mon 28th July 10:00am & 1:30pm
Sashiko is a traditional Japanese embroidery technique known for its simple yet beautiful running stitch and its use in functional and decorative reinforcement of fabrics. A great link to our current VE Day celebration exhibition, as it connects to the ‘Make do and mend’ effort relied upon during and after the war.
Come along to Art Club and create a collection of unique patches for your clothes, or customise an item of clothing you bring along to the workshop.
Art club is the perfect opportunity to get creative and make something to take home. All materials provided for the craft activity that will be planned.
Art Club is aimed at young people aged 10-18yrs.
Duration:
10:00am - 12:00pm & 1:30pm - 3:30pm.
