A Return to Elbolton Cave: VR Experience & 3D Prints

This event has passed

FREE Drop-in Event 10am - 4pm

Come and explore the archaeology of Elbolton Cave at Craven Museum with support from the University of Bradford.

The interior of Elbolton Cave will once again be accessible to visitors in virtual reality (VR).

This updated version of the VR experience has taken feedback from the last public sessions in summer 2022, and the University of Bradford is proud to present a much-improved version of the interactive cave.

There will also be a chance to explore the Elbolton Cave finds further, with a special opportunity to see the univeristy’s 3D prints of some of the excavated skulls. In this experience you will be able to get up close with the finds and handle the prints.

The sessions will be running through April, during the school Easter holidays. No need to book – just drop in between 10am and 4pm.

  • Tuesday 4th
  • Friday 7th
  • Tuesday 11th
  • Saturday 15th

The 3D prints will be available at the museum desk and the VR experience will take place in the Hub.

Important Information:

Please note that both experiences will include depictions of human remains.
