We’ve got a fun packed programme of events & activities lined up for families this summer holiday!
Join us for crafts, workshops, spectacular shows, a family rave and much more! Many events are free and we have strived to keep ticketed event prices accessible. Craven Museum at Skipton Town Hall is winner of Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum 2023 and is a finalist for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2024!
Available every day –
- Free entry to Craven Museum including lots of hands on activities.
- Museum Trails for all ages including a special Summer Reading Challenge Trail ‘Marvellous Makers’.
- Complete a self-led Discover Arts Award qualification.

Big Fish Little Fish Family Rave

Yorkshire, get ready to rave! Big Fish Little Fish is bringing its award-winning family rave to Skipton Town Hall for an unforgettable end-of-summer bash before school starts. This is the ultimate family-friendly rave experience, designed for both adults and children to enjoy together.

Our friendly staff want to make your visit as enjoyable as possible – Just ask if you need anything.
This is how we try to make Skipton Town Hall accessible for all families –
- We are a Breastfeeding Friendly Venue
- Baby changing facilities in the women’s toilets in the main foyer
- All gender baby changing facilities in the toilets by the stage door (please ask)
- All areas of the building are accessible with a pushchair
- We have plenty of space to park your pushchair
- Free family friendly museum & gallery with lots of fun interactive elements
- Free family museum trails
- Family events & activities programme – some events are free entry
- Children under 2yrs can attend our ticketed events for free if they are sat on a lap.
- Free sensory bags available to borrow – includes ear defenders, fidget toys and finger puppets
- Relaxed museum sessions and performances
- Pocket money toys available in our shop
