When available, concessions may be offered for those aged Under 18 or Over 60, or students in full time education. If applicable, concession prices will be stated on promotional material for individual performances & events, or indicated at the time of booking.
Proof of eligibility may be requested when collecting or redeeming your tickets.
Carer Tickets
In order to qualify as a carer, individuals must be at least 16 years of age. It is essential that carers have the ability to assist the guest in managing any conditions they may have and possess a clear understanding of their specific needs.
At the time of booking, it is required that proof of either disability or carer status is submitted. This proof can be provided in various forms, such as a Blue Badge, an Incapacity Benefit Book, or a letter confirming that the guest receives relevant benefits like Disability Living Allowance (DLA), Personal Independence Payment (PIP), or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA). Additionally, an access card can also serve as valid proof.
The number of carer tickets that will be allocated is directly linked to the number of individuals who require accompaniment. As such, the allocation will be tailored to the specific needs of the guest.
Please note that carers will not be eligible for complimentary tickets for events that include catering services. However, in recognition of their important role, we are pleased to offer a 20% discount on these occasions as an alternative to a free ticket.
To reserve carer tickets, please contact our Box Office directly. This can be done either by calling us at 01756 706397, sending an email to sthboxoffice@northyorks.gov.uk, or visiting us in person at Skipton Town Hall. Our Box Office is open from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Saturday.

Your visit
Skipton Town Hall currently operates an unreserved seating policy. Audiences are advised to arrive at least 20 minutes before the start of the show in all instances, to ensure audience members have enough time to take their seats.
Should you be late to a performance, it may be necessary to wait until a suitable break or interval within a performance until it is possible to be admitted. Although late admission cannot always be guaranteed, Skipton Town Hall tries to admit patrons where reasonably possible.
The management reserves the right to refuse or restrict entry to a performance should it be deemed necessary to preserve the safety and comfort of our audience, performers and/or staff.
The use of cameras, recording equipment and mobile telephones is strictly prohibited in the Concert Hall, unless consent is given in advance by Skipton Town Hall.

Infants aged under 2 years may be admitted to performances without the need for a ticket, instead being seated on a parent or guardian’s lap at no additional charge. Should an infant or toddler become restless and cause a disturbance during a performance, the parent or guardian may be requested to leave the auditorium until the child has settled so as to limit inconvenience to other audience members and performers. This clause does not apply to Relaxed Performances.
