Skipton International Puppetry Symposium 2025: Reconnect – Revision – Re-set

Friday 17th (09.00-16.30) – Saturday 18th October 2025 (08.30-15.45). Free puppetry performances, exhibition and demonstrations will continue for the public on Sunday 19th.

A two-day gathering of puppetry professionals from across the UK.

Itinerary:

Friday*:

  • Panel Discussions on UK puppetry today with the British Puppetry Guild, The Puppet Centre, PuppeteersUK, British Unima, Curious School of Puppetry, Punch and Judy Fellowship with Q&As
  • Panel Discussion on Early Careers in the sector with Curious School of Puppetry & Q&A
  • Networking opportunities
  • Displays, demonstrations, and stalls
  • Lunch provided

* Live streaming available for the panel discussions. These will be available to book separately for a small fee. Link coming soon.

Saturday:

  • Networking breakfast (provided)
  • Devoted and Disgruntled Satellite – “A stronger and healthier UK Puppet sector for everyone? How do we make it happen?” An Open Space facilitated by Improbable (Must be booked separately as limited number of places) Booking Link Here
  • Displays demonstrations, workshops and stalls
  • Panel Discussion on International Touring with Theatre Rites and British Unima & Q&A

  • Lunch Provided

Activities to continue on Sunday 19th:

PuppeteersUK AGM (members only) to take place at Craven Arts House

Free puppetry performances, exhibition and demonstrations for the public.

Tickets includes lunch and a performance of your choice (options available when booking) running on Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th.

  • Two-Day Pass – £40.00
  • Single Day Pass (Friday or Saturday) – £20.00
  • Pay It Forward Option – £20.00 (Support another attendee)
  • Friday Streaming Ticket – details coming soon.
